Non-high-density-lipoprotein (non-HDL) cholesterol and apolipoprotein B (apoB) are better markers of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk than low-density-lipoprotein cholesterol, but whether non-HDL cholesterol or apoB is superior to the other is less clear.
